Lord, as this year comes to an end, I thank You for being my defender and my peace. Teach me to stand still and trust in Your salvation, knowing that You fight for me. Help me to release my worries and to rest in the assurance of Your faithfulness. Let my heart be filled with gratitude for all You have done and hope for what is to come. Thank You for being my refuge and strength. Amen.

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
